The Order of the Leaf was founded in 1934 by the counselors of Camp Airy for the purpose of promoting the spirit of friendship among each other and of loyalty and service to the institution of which they are all a part.

The Order of the Leaf is the Camp Airy organization that all staff members are welcomed into after three years of service. Leaf provides an opportunity to maintain connections to each other and to the “Summer Home” we cherish, no matter how much time has passed since we served as Camp Airy staff members. We are a non-profit organization that focuses primarily on supporting camp and summer staff through financial support, the enhancement of camp facilities and provision of supplies and activities. The Order of the Leaf raises funds to support Camp Airy throughout the year.

Reunion

Come back to Camp!

Each fall, the Order of the Leaf hosts a Camp Reunion for alumni and their families. It’s a chance for former campers and counselors to return to the special place they called their summer home for a few years or many decades. Leaf Weekend is full of activities and frivolity, and celebrates our connection to each other through our love for Camp Airy.

During Leaf Weekend, the Order of the Leaf Lifetime Passion Award is presented to an individual who demonstrates their Airy passion by embracing the guiding principles of the Order of the Leaf – friendship, loyalty and service – during and following their active participating on the Camp Airy staff.
