Below are descriptions of available officer positions. The descriptions include both the requirements from the bylaws and notes from current officers about what the position entails.
The President shall be the chief administrative officer of the corporation and shall have general powers and duties of supervision and management of the corporation. He or she shall preside at meetings of members and meetings of directors. Perform all such other duties as usually pertain to this office or are properly required by the corporation.
Oversee board management and activities
Conduct check-ins with board members
Coordinate all activities pertaining to the organization including programming, fundraising, administrative tasks, and more
Ensure the vision and goals of the organization are being achieved by the Board
Work to engage general members in programming, committees, communications, and affiliation with the organization
Communicate with Camp leadership regarding Leaf Reunion weekend and other alumni engagement plans
Ensure the organization is in compliance with state and federal laws
Support donor engagement
The Vice President shall, in the absence of the President, be vested with all of his or her powers and will have authority to perform all of his or her duties. He or she shall act as an ex-officio member of all standing committees, and shall perform all other duties as designated by the President.
Assist the President in making decisions and in any case where the president is unable to attend or be present, it would be the job of the VP to step in and act as the president until a time the President is back.
Help cultivate ideas to grow OOTL
Help make decisions about where OOTL will make use of its funds
Help plan events over the course of the year for OOTL
Talk about, vote on and implement strategies to have OOTL reach as many alumni as possible
Make Alumni feel connected to camp like they did when they went there
Be of service to OOTL, assist with anything that can help
The Secretary shall keep the records and proceedings of all meetings and distribute same to all board members, and shall be responsible for safe keeping of all records, papers, and documents, except financial records. The secretary will send donation acknowledgments for all donations received, update website and social media in coordination with other officers and perform other duties as designated by the President.
Compose and file minutes for board meetings
Acknowledge donations to the Order of the Leaf
Serve as editor for the newsletter sent to members – developing story manifest, assigning and collecting submitted copy from camp director and other officers, editing submissions and designing the newsletter
Coordinate and assist with events as needed
Support social media efforts
Coordinate website copy upgrades
The Treasurer shall keep a full and accurate account of the receipts and disbursements of the corporation on the books belonging to same, and shall deposit in such bank or banking institutions, as may from time-to-time be selected by the corporation, all funds and monies and other valuable effects of the corporation in the name and to the credit of the corporation.
Act as the chief financial and disbursing officer of the corporation and shall render an annual budget and make proper vouchers and receipts for such disbursements and shall render to the corporation, at least annually and more often if required, a complete and accurate account of such transactions
Keep the Officers advised of any expenditures to be incurred or funds to be provided in order that the President and Executive Secretary may make arrangements for the consumption of such financial matters
File all appropriate government taxation and incorporation papers as required in order to maintain the corporation in good standing
Oversee the entity's insurance, reporting, and compliance requirements, as well as liaise with internal and external stakeholders, when appropriate
The Executive Secretary shall coordinate all Leaf activities throughout the year and especially during the summer, and shall perform other duties as designated by the President.

Commit to serve the organization for multiple terms
At Large Officers will coordinate committees with members, and work with the Camp Airy, Order of the Leaf, Alumni Incorporated to coordinate events and other activities.
Attend meetings to help plan for Leaf events in and out of season
Work with the leaf board on projects to continue to help for future groups
Work with other Leaf Board and leaf members to plan Leaf Weekend programming
Coordinate and assist with events as needed
Support social media efforts and data collection
Help with Leaf Weekend event setup
Support other officers as needed
